I think we cannot blame the advice we get from friends sometimes. They are also sharing based on their experiences. So we cannot blame them for that.
Reading the story, i believe sometimes one should just do what they think of doing. Not being reckless of course but i sometimes feel that people fear rejection a lot. They fear people's views and what they have to say and will think.The story above, i believe, is a true reflection of that. Sometimes just do what you intend on doing without fearing what people might say. It sounds easier said than but just try.
